For Valentine’s Day, H & I made ourselves this delicious, detoxifying smoothie!
I love sneaking vegetables into our smoothies and beets are the perfect addition.
Beets are detoxifying and anti-inflammatory. They are full of iron, potassium niacin, copper and vitamin C. Pineapples, which give this smoothie it’s tropical taste, contain bromelain which also acts as an anti-inflammatory in the body.
- 1 cup mylk or water
- 1 small beet, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup fresh or frozen berries (we like strawberries, blackberries & blueberries)
- 1 cup frozen pineapple
- Place all ingredients in a powerful blender and blend until smooth. Enjoy!
